Our Game Is Not Just For Pros: Umbro Gives Back To The Grassroots Game Via Global Call For Entries
Umbro, the iconic football (soccer) brand owned by Iconix Brand Group, Inc., is famous for equipping clubs and countries, but the brand has always supported footballers at every level of play.
To give back to the grassroots game, Umbro is inviting amateur teams to submit short video clips (max 30 seconds) that show the world why they deserve to win a brand new Umbro kit. Submissions can be funny, inspirational, skilful; whatever best represents the team, its players, and their love for our game.
Winning entries will be awarded with full team kits (tops, shorts and socks), training gear, Neo Pro footballs, a manager’s jacket and a megadeck carrier bag to carry it all in. Each team will also take part in their very own kit launch experience, where a professional photographer will take team photos to launch the new kit.
“As a truly democratic voice within football, we are pleased to be able to give something back to the consumer in the form of a brand-new kit and equipment. We’re looking forward to seeing the entries and discovering some great grass roots teams,” said Helene Hope, Head of Global Brand Marketing, Umbro.
Players and teams can submit their entries now at Notjustforpros.Umbro.com. Look out for campaign communications on the @umbrousa and @umbro social channels.
